| 6353 | Wallace & Wallace Funeral Chapels & Crematory, Rainelle, WV, 31 Jul 2025 https://www.wallaceandwallacefh.com/obituaries/Teresa-Carol-Hedrick Teresa Carol Hedrick, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, 68, of Kessler, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2025, surrounded by her closest loved ones. She was born on May 12, 1957, and raised by her grandparents Loften and Stella Pitsenbarger in Charmco, West Virginia she was the daughter of Anna Volene Pitsenbarger and Dewey Lewis Steele. For the past 35 years, Teresa made her home in Kessler alongside her husband and love of her life, Marvin "Buddy" Hedrick. Their family home became the heart of countless cherished memories-from fishing in the pond built by family hands, to Sunday mornings filled with the smell of a home-cooked breakfast. Teresa's kitchen was always a place of warmth and comfort, where her famous cornbread and biscuits brought everyone together. Several people around town knew Teresa for being the" handy place" biscuit lady. She was a proud and devoted mother to Leonard Hedrick (Mariah Blankenship) and Carla Hedrick (Anthony Martin), Teresa was the most loving and devoted grandmother to Gaige, Paislee, Lakyn, and Colton Hedrick, and Dixie Harmon. Teresa lived for her grandchildren-if there was a parade, holiday event, or yard sale going on, you could count on her being there, hand-in-hand with them, making memories. One of the things that brought the most joy to Mrs. Teresa was making memories on the banks of the greenbrier county river with her sister kids and grandkids. If you knew Teresa, you knew her for her kind heart, her giving spirit, and her unforgettable cooking. She had a special gift for making people feel welcome and loved, no matter who they were or what they were going through. She put others before herself, always offering help, a smile, or a warm meal--even when she didn't feel well. Teresa could always be known for her trendy outfits and jewelry if you compliment on her outfit she was quick to let you know she found it on a bargain. Yard sales and bargain hunting were some of her favorite pastimes if you seen a yard sale Teresa was there, She did her best to make sure that her kids and grandkids had everything they needed and wanted. -yard sailing wasn't only about the bargains for Teresa it was about the joy of running into old friends and family members, the chitchat with her girlfriends, and the laughter that always followed her around. She didn't need fancy things to be happy-just her family, her home, and the simple pleasures of life were enough for her. Teresa was a hard worker she worked hard and helped others out her entire life and was still working up until her passing. She was a strong, dedicated woman who took pride in her hard work and her family. Every Sunday for years, she would cook a big breakfast where everyone gathered to eat, talk, and just be together-traditions that will live on in the hearts of those who loved her forever. The family is heartbroken about her passing but she gave them so much love and dedication that they know they will carry her with them in their hearts forever she was a wife, mother , and grandmother that is just hard to ever be forgotten the family is so thankful for all the love she has given them and appreciates every single thing she has ever done for them. They know they were blessed with a one of a kind and will miss her dearly. She is survived by her loving husband, Marvin "Buddy" Hedrick; her children, Leonard Hedrick (Mariah Blankenship) and Carla Hedrick (Anthony Martin); her grandchildren, Gaige, Paislee, Lakyn, Colton, and Dixie; her sister, Wanda Morgan; and several brothers- and sisters-in-law whom she loved like her own. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Stella and Loften Pitsenbarger; her mother, Anna Volene Pitsenbarger; her mother-in-law, Gladys Carol Gibson; her sister, Charlotte Anderson; and many other dear relatives whose memories she carried close to her heart. Teresa leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and selflessness. Her family will miss her deeply, but they take comfort in knowing they were blessed to be loved by her. The memories she made and the love she gave will remain forever in their hearts. To know Teresa was to love her-and to be loved by her was a gift. She was truly one of a kind, and her spirit will never be forgotten. The family thanks each and every person for all the love and support they have received it helps remind them how many people Teresa had touched over the years trying to repay for her kindness. They would like to say a special thank you to Buddy's brother Bobby and sister in law Robin Thomas for showing the love and support they did to Teresa and saying by her side all the way until the very end. Per her request, she will be cremated and no services. Wallace & Wallace of Rainelle are in charge of arrangements. | 6395 | Wallace & Wallace, Inc. Funeral Chapels & Crematory, Rainelle, WV https://www.wallaceandwallacefh.com/obituaries/Rennis-Kelby-Strader Rennis Kelby Strader, known to most as "Tadpole," of Quinwood, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2025, at Wake Forest Hospital in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Born on March 22, 1952, in Nettie, WV, Rennis was the son of the late Kelcie Cecil and Olive Maxine (Huffman) Strader. From a young age, he could fix just about anything that had wheels, wires, or an engine. He worked alongside his dad driving truck, proudly carrying the CB handle "Tadpole." Rennis had a knack for figuring things out, a good joke always ready, and a laugh that could fill a room. He was happiest when life was simple— tools in his hands, the hum of an engine nearby, or a fishing pole in the water. In his later years, he was lovingly cared for by his daughter, Carolyn— his "Button"— and her husband, Shawn. Together, they made countless memories fishing, riding side-by-sides, and making sure Rennis had not only what he needed, but what he wanted. The bond between Rennis and Shawn was one of true friendship, built on laughter and shared stories, but it was Carolyn who remained the light of his life and the pride of his heart. Rennis was preceded in death by his son, Charles Kelby; his parents, Kelcie and Maxine Strader; and his brother, Dennis Kendall Strader. He is survived by his daughter, Carolyn (Shawn) Rodgers of Quinwood; brothers Clayton (Karen) Strader of Nettie, Clifford Strader of Nettie, and Paul (Kim) Strader of Crawley; sisters Paulita (Jack) Still of Alderson, Pauline Riffle of Nettie, Patricia (Roger) Sears of Smoot, and Pamela (Ronnie) Mullins of Beckley; and many nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss his humor and his big heart. To honor Rennis' wishes, a private burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Nettie. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Wallace & Wallace to defray burial expenses. "When I come to the end of the road and the sun has set for me, I want no rites in a gloom-filled room— why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little, but not too long, and not with your head bowed low. Remember the love that we once shared; miss me, but let me go." Rennis "Tadpole" Strader will be remembered for his laughter, his stubborn streak, and the love he had for his family. He may have gone on ahead, but his stories, his smile, and his spirit will keep on trucking down the road in the hearts of those who loved him.
