Charles Scott Hedrick
RUPERT - Charles Scott Hedrick, 85, died Thursday, Dec. 11, 2003, at Rupert, following a short illness.
Born June 19, 1918, in Sinks Grove, he was a son of the late Everette Lee and Loxie Scott Hedrick.
Mr. Hedrick was a farmer and a retired truck driver from Chemical Leaman Tank Lines.
He was of the Christian faith, and a member of the Teamsters Union and the Rupert Rod and Gun Club.
Mr. Hedrick was preceded in death by a brother, Alvin Hedrick; a sister, Lois Harding; and two great-grandchildren, Chad Fleeman and Justin Winfrey.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys Hunter Hedrick; five daughters, Geraldine L. Jacobs of Hurricane, Gladys Carroll Gibson of Rupert, Sandra Ann Walkup of Rupert, Ruth Lynn Hanson of Rupert, and Debra Gaye Deitz of Rupert; one son, Marvin Lewis Hedrick of Rupert; two sisters, Emma Jane Irons of Lewisburg, and Ora Lee Hastings of Indianapolis, Ind.; 23 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Wallace and Wallace Funeral Chapel, Rainelle, with Pastor Claude Dennis Morrello Jr. and Pastor Youel Altizer officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Pleasants Church Cemetery at Sinks Grove.
Friends may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
