Robert "Bob" Freeman Winfrey

Robert (Bob) Freeman Winfrey, Sr., 75, of Rupert, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2015, in the Charleston Area Medical Center following a sudden illness.
Born April 8, 1940, in Princeton, he was the son of the late Ralph Freeman and Beulah Mae Hickman Winfrey.
Bob was a retired coal miner and an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved spending time in the outdoors and with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Jack and 2 grandsons Chad Allen Fleeman and Justin ColtenWinfrey.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 35 years, Myrtle F. Winfrey; 2 sons Robert F. Jr. and Scott and wife Kim, all of Rupert; 3 daughters Annette Fleeman and husband Rick of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Michelle Bennett and husband Joey of Danese and Melissa Winfrey and companion Bryan Reeder of Rupert; 1 brother Harold of Princeton; 2 sisters Phyllis Garner of St. Albans and Norma Smith of Abingdon, Virginia; 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 12, at Smathers Funeral Chapel, Inc., with Pastor Youel Altizer officiating. Burial will follow in the Winfrey Family Cemetery in Rupert.
Friends may call from 6 - 8 p.m. Friday, September 11, at the funeral home.
