CHARMCO -- Barbara Lee (McClung) Golden, 72, died Saturday, March 19, 2005, at her home following a long illness.
Born Sept. 20, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Cathleen Dorsey McClung.
Barbara was a member of Newton Memorial Baptist Church of Charmco, a former substitute cook for Greenbrier County Schools, a former cashier at Crawford's Superette in Charmco and a former seamstress at Isratex Industries of Rainelle.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Victor "Dick" Golden; a sister, Marjorie McClung; and a brother, Homer Keith McClung.
Survivors include three daughters, Cheryl Goff of Charmco, Vickie Blue of Clinton, Wis., and Nila Lytle of Dawson; three sons, Stephen Golden Sr. of Crag Rd., Rainelle, Stan Golden of Parkersburg, and Michael Golden of Charmco; three sisters, Jo Ann Allport of Rainelle, Margaret Ann Olson of Duluth, Minn., and Donna Sue Brown of Hines; 10 grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Wallace & Wallace Chapel, Rainelle, with Pastor Clay O'Dell officiating. Burial will follow in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
