Weddings
Loar-Lowther
Lori Dawn Lowther, daughter of Richard and Joyce Lowther of Fort Ashby, W.Va., and James Henry Loar, son of John and Helen Martin Loar of Springfield, W.Va., formerly of New Windsor, were married at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Short Gap, W.Va., on June 13, 1998.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents.
Matron of honor was Andrea Lutman and the maid of honor was Sandy Kenney. Bridesmaids were Lisa Readd, sister of the groom and Lisa Lowther, sister of the bride. The flower girl was Allison Stambaugh.
Best man was Deryl Dice. Ushers were Josh Broadwater; and John W. and Jason Loar, brothers of the groom. The ring-bearers were Richard Lowther II, brother of the bride and Colton Readd, nephew of the groom.
The reception was at Fort Ashby Fire Department.
After a honeymoon to Disney World, the newlyweds are residing in LaVale.
