Anna Mary Armentrout 82, of Finksburg, died Friday, Nov. 3, 2000, at Union Memorial Hospital.
Born Aug. 5, 1918, in Richlands, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late James and Effie Hoffman Armentrout.
She was the wife of Cecil B. Hanson, her husband of 61 years, who died April 16, 1995.
She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Zion United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading and gardening.
Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law Frances and Robert Pretty of Selbyville, Del., Ruby and the Rev. John O. Price of Seaford, Del.; daughters Stella Reece and Kathy Knicely of Westminster; brothers Charles Hoffman of Quinwood, W.Va., William Armentrout of Kearneysville, W. Va., Elmer Johnson of Dallas, N.C., Ulysses Johnson of Summit Point, W.Va.; sisters Martha Hanson of Westminster and Beulah Whetzel of Kearneysville, W.Va., Rosa Lee Ingram of Frankford, W.Va., and Phyllis Hughes of Bessemer City, N.C.; 10 grandchildren; 10 greatgrandchildren; and two great-greatgrandchildren.
She was predeceased by two brothers and one sister.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Fletcher Funeral Home, 254 E. Main St., Westminster, with her pastor, the Rev. James F. W. Talley, officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mount Zion United Methodist Church, 3006 Old Westminster Pike, Finksburg, MD 21048; the American Heart Association, Carroll County Branch, P.O. Box 550, Westminster, MD 21158 or the charity of your choice.
