Abraham L. Shuck
TANEYTOWN - Abraham Lincolun Shuck, 73, of Black's Schoolhouse Road, Taneytown, died Saturday morning, July 18, 1987, at his home.
Born Feb. 12, 1914. in Pittman, W. Va., he was son of the late George Andrew and Rebecca Bennett Shuck.
While living in West Virginia, he worked as a coal miner; in Carroll County he worked in construction and for 12 years was employed at Black and Decker, retiring in 1978. He was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Beulah Henson Shuck; three sons, Roy L. Shuck of North Carolina, and Roger D. and Arthur A. Shuck, both of Westminster; two daughters, Donna M. Kelly of Tallapoosa, Ga., and Lois A. Miller of Gettysburg, Pa.; a brother, Phillip Shuck of Landisburg, W. Va.; a sister, Daisy Shuck of Rainelle, W.Va.; grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Myers Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster, with the Rev. Kim Capps officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
