Services Are Set For Collins
Curtiss Collins, 72, died Thursday at his home in Bledsoe after a long illness.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 1 p.m. in Green Hill Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Theo Cart, and the Rev. Samps Brock officiating. Burial will be in the Cooper Cemetery.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by six children, Mrs. Vernon Simpson, Loyall; Mrs. Luther Hardy, Virginia; Mrs. Ellen Wilson, James, Elvin and Jimmy of Bledsoe.
Also surviving are four brothers, Robert Collins, Cincinnati; Paul and Buster of Michigan; Ernest, Ida Bell, Okla.; three sisters, Ethel Blanton, Stella Collins, Michigan; Lola of Whitley City; 22 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends in the chapel of Loyall Funeral Home today from 3 until 10 p.m. The body will be taken to the home Saturday morning.
Pallbearers will be Waldo Simpson, Henry Vanover, Hershel Gaw, Paul Hansel, Clarence Gaw and Harold Wilson.
Loyall Funeral Home is in charge.
