Dr. James McClung
RICHWOOD - Dr. James E. McClung, 65, of Richwood, died Thursday at home after a short illness.
He received his M.D. from the University of Maryland, and interned at Wheeling General Hospital and Mountain State Hospital. He was a member of the American Medical Assn., the W.Va. Medical Assn., the Masonic Lodge, Commandry Lodge and the Beni Kedem Temple.
Dr. McClung was a veteran of World War II. He was affiliated with McClung Hospital, Inc. in Richwood and the McClung Medical Clinic. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Cherry River National Bank, the Lions Club, Elk Lodge, American Legion, VFW, Moose Lodge and IOOF.
Surviving: wife, Iva Black McClung; sisters, Mrs. Ruth Nellen of DePeer, Wis., Mrs. Margaret Johnson and Mrs. Katherine Welch of Rupert, Miss Beatrice McClung of Charleston; brother, Dr. William D. McClung of Lewisburg.
Service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in Simons and Coleman Funeral Home, Richwood, with the Rev. Charles Damron officiating. Burial will be in End of the Trail Cemetery, Clintonville.
Friends may call today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 to 12 a.m. at the funeral home.
