Frances Jean "Sis" Johnson, of Stephens City went home to her family and heavenly Father, July 22, 2014. Having been born March 16, 1929, 85 years ago, in Fort Valley to loving parents, Walter N. and Beulah E. Huffman Jett.
Frances married Lawrence Doil Johnson, February 1, 1951 in Woodstock, and they have four children she was devoted to, Roy Johnson and wife, Ruby, of Stephens City, Sandra McDonald of Winchester, Judy Emmons and her companion, Daniel Denson, of Winchester, and Jimmy Johnson and wife, Joan, of Star Tannery; brother, Jesse Jett and his wife, Drucilla, of Woodstock; four grandsons whom she was very proud of, Frank Johnson, Chad McDonald, and Dustin McDonald all of Winchester, and Ethan Johnson of Star Tannery; two great granddaughters, Kelsey and Lacey Johnson of Stephens City; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, George "Mose" Jett, Everett Jett, Kathleen "Kitty" Jett, Lucy Mae "Peg" Faulkner, Walter "Pete" Jett, and Roger Jett.
Frances loved to spend her days with her family. Going to parades, yard sales, blue grass events and seeing her country singers in concert with her special niece, Ora Edmondson.
Pallbearers will be her nephews; Harold Jett, Jeff Jett, Walt Jett, Timmy Jett, Ronnie Jett, Raymond Jett and Keith Jett.
A funeral service will be held Friday, July 25, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Antioch Church of the Brethren in Woodstock with Rev. George Bowers and Pastor Paul Campbell officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Sunset View Memorial Gardens.
