LEIVASY - Elmer G. Boggs, 65, of Leivasy, Nicholas County, died Saturday in Sacred Heart Hospital, Richwood, after a short illness. A lifelong resident of Nicholas County, he was a retired coal miner, UMW member and a member Eureka United Methodist Church, Leivasy. Surviving: wife, Ruth Tolliver Boggs; sons, Richard Dale and Elmer George Jr., both of Leivasy, Charles Ray of Fenwick, John Edward of Orient Hill; brothers, Roscoe of Fenwick and Cassie of Baltimore; sister, Mrs. Luella Wilson of Richwood; seven grandchildren. Service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Eureka United Methodist Church, Leivasy, with the Rev. Gary Eisenman and the Rev. James Yates officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Nettie. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Simons-Coleman Funeral Home, Richwood.
