Jeaneve "Jenny" O'Dell, 84, of Leivasy Road, passed away Saturday morning, January 17, 2015, at
her home, following a short illness. Born October 24, 1930, at Canvas, she was the daughter of the
late Harrison and Clara Rader Groves. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by
her husband, Genesee "Boots" O'Dell; a daughter-in-law Claudett O'Dell; a sister Eunice; and three
brothers, William "Doc" Groves, Harrison "June" Groves, Jr., and Jennings "Jink" Groves.
Jenny was a member of Olive Branch Baptist Church of Nettie, and worked as a volunteer for Nettie
Ambulance Service at Nettie. She loved to do embroidery, and was a homemaker.
Those left to cherish her memory are 2 sons: John O"Dell of Leivasy, WV, Jim O'Dell & wife Ramona of Leivasy, WV; 1 brother: Gerald Groves & wife Jackie of Nettie, WV; 3 grandchildren: Teresa Claywell (Mike) of Mt. Lookout, WV, Jamie O'Dell of Leivasy, and Travis O'Dell (Sabrina) of Canvas, WV; 3 great-grandchildren: Becca, Bailey, and Oliver, all of Canvas, WV. Several nieces, nephews, and other extended family
Services will be at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at Olive Branch Baptist Church at Nettie, with Pastor Sam Gray officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery at Carl, WV.
