ALDERSON, Sept 16 ? Miss Helen Hopkins, daughter of Mrs. William Hopkins of Montgomery, and the late Mr. Hopkins, and Mr. Robert Eugene Phipps, son of Mrs. Enoch Phipps, and the late Mr. 'Phipps, were married in the Methodist Church in Montgomery, Tuesday, at 7:30 p. m. with the Rev. B. W. John, pastor performing the double ring ceremony at a candlelight Altar Service.
The bride was dressed in a pale pink street length frock with, navy accessories and her flowers were a corsage of pink rosebuds. Her only attendant, Miss Bonnie Boggess, was attired in a light blue dress with black accessories and wearing a corsage of yellow rosebuds. Mr. Phipps best man was Mr. George F. Hopkins of Montgomery, a brother of the bride.
Mrs. Phipps attended Montgomery schools and is a graduate of the Laird Memorial Hospital of Nursing, and at present is employed at the Laird Memorial Hospital, Montgomery. Mr. Phipps, a graduate of Alderson High School, is a student at West Virginia School of Technology, Montgomery, where he expects to continue his studies. He served two years with the United States Navy. The couple will reside at 1st Avenue, Montgomery.
Guests from Alderson attending the wedding were Mrs. Enoch Phipps, Miss Betty Phipps, Charles Phipps and Mr. and Mrs. George Bare.
