SUMMERSVILLE - Jimmy Franklin Jackson, 73, died Wednesday, March 8, 2006, at Charleston Area Medical Center, Memorial Division.
He was the son of the late Cletis and Elsie Lee Martin Jackson, and was born in Kansas City, Mo., on Feb. 14, 1933.
Mr. Jackson was retired from the West Virginia Department of Highways and was a former employee of Boso & Boso in Summersville.
He was a member of Beulah Baptist Church at Muddlety and a U.S. Air Force veteran.
His son, Dennis James Jackson, also preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Emogene McClung Jackson; daughter, Linda Bays of Summersville; daughter-in-law, Debra Jackson of Summersville; a sister, Donna Godby of Keyser; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 11, at Mount Vernon Cemetery, Glade Creek, with Pastor Howard
Harper officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.
Waters Funeral Chapel, Summersville, is in charge of arrangements.
