Deaths and Funerals
MRS. RUTH L. DEATON
FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Mrs. Ruth L. Deaton, 68, of Fort Wayne, died at 8 p. m. Monday at Parkview Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient for six weeks.
She was a native of Grafton, W. Va., and had lived in Fort Wayne since 1928.
Surviving are her husband, Edward; four daughters, Mrs. Shirley A. Knittle of Convoy, and Mrs. Mary R. Lehman, Beatrice Shaw and Mrs. Eldora M. Ambrose, all of Fort Wayne; two sons, Perry W. Shaw and Daniel C. Shaw, both of Fort Wayne; three sisters, Mrs. Amy Wiseman of Grafton, Mrs. Vera Poling of Fort Wayne, and Mrs. Eunice Pelt of Roanoke, Ind.; a brother, Herbert Fornash of Plainfield, Ill.; two stepsons, Lester and John Deaton, both of Fort Wayne; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Louise Sizemore of Cincinnati, and Mrs. Grace Sitko of Fort Wayne; 20 grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter.
The D. O. McComb & Sons Funeral Home of Fort Wayne is in charge of arrangements which are incomplete.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p. m. today.
