Arthur Clinton "Pappy" Bennett, 81, of Winona, went home to be with the Lord on February 19, 2010, at his home, following a long illness.
Born August 16, 1928, at Mount Lookout, W.Va. He was a son of the late Charles Ernest Bennett and Gladys Lilly McClung Bennett.
Arthur was a veteran of the Korean war and was retired from Tucumseh Products and Ford Motor Co. in Michigan.
He was a member of The Keeney's Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Winona.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Freda, and four brothers, Burton, Floyd, Lawrence and John Bennett.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Hypes Bennett; two sons, Kenneth and his wife Linda of Alto, Michigan, Kelvin and his wife Cindy of Coldwater, Michigan; two daughters, Sandy McKeever and her husband Merle of Tipton, Michigan, Susan Weyher and her husband Ron of Iron River, Michigan; two stepsons, Charles Bennett and his wife Rhonda of Oak Hill, John Bennett and wife Deborah of Winona; two stepdaughters, Nancy Horrocks and husband Tommy of Winona and Margaret Bennett of Winona; three sisters, May Bennett Noble of Mentor, Ohio, Lucille Bennett Walker of Richwood and Ollie Bennett Kalthegener of Loundonville, Ohio.
He was richly blessed with fifteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2010, at Keeney's Creek Baptist Church in Winona, with Pastor Joe Shaffer and Pastor Ronald Sears officiating. Burial will follow in Highlawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill.
Friends may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home Chapel in Ansted.
