Susan Hypes Dies At Home
POE (RNS) - Mrs. Susan Jane Hypes, 68, of Poe, died Thursday at her home after an apparent heart attack.
She was the widow of Clem C. Hypes, who died in 1972.
Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Nannie Jean Hall of Drennan, Mrs. Glenna Gray of Craigsville, Mrs. Peggy Tucker of Kesslers Cross Lanes, Mrs. Eva Preast, Mrs. Edith Hanshaw and Mrs. Wilma Gross, all of Poe; two brothers, Buddy McClung of Elkview and Alex McClung, Jr. of Southline, Mich.; eight sisters, Mrs. Margaret Neil of Jodie, Mrs. Edith Wolf of Grimms Landing, Mrs. Mary Dye of Fayetteville, Mrs. Bessie Thomas of Zela, Mrs. Blanche Hypes and Mrs. Goldie Gray, both of Poe, Mrs. Ada Moore of Southline, Mich., and Mrs. Helen Cogar of Davin; 21 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Bethel United Methodist Church at Poe with Rev. Wesley Pennington and Rev. Harmon Gray in charge. Burial will follow in the Zoar Cemetery at Kesslers Cross Lanes. Friends may call at the Howard White Funeral Home at Summersville from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday.
