CLINTONVILLE — Vernon E. Hayslette, 73, of Clintonville, passes Thursday, June 26, 2014.
Born February 22, 1941, in Charleston, WV, he was the son of the late John Raymond and Frances Rigsby Hayslett.
He is survived by sons Todd Hayslette, of Clintonville, WV; and Brad Hayslette and wife, Francine, of Lake Luzerne, NY; granddaughters, Kristina and Rachel Hayslette of Lake Luzerne, NY; and sister, Lee Kanter of West Bloomfield, MI.
Vernon was employed by the world-renowned E.F. MacDonald Company as a top management consultant. He also enjoyed being a farmer, and had a passion for researching family history.
He was a member of the Greenbrier County Planning Commission.
Vernon loved history and discussing it, as well as local issues, with family, friends and neighbors. Vernon also loved and enjoyed going to Disney World with his granddaughters.
The Hayslette family would like to thank HospiceCare and staff for their wonderful care and respect of our father, in his and our time of need.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2014, in Sunrise Chapel Cemetery at Clintonville, WV.
