Dr. Jesse Taliferro Johnson, 67, of 317 Third Avenue, Hinton died at 4:30 p. m. Saturday in a Beckley hospital.
He was injured in an automobile accident in Summers County July 4.
Born Oct. 24, 1899 in Henry County, Va., he was the son of the late Johnny and Nannie Walker Johnson.
He was a member of the Central Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge. He attended West Virginia University and graduated from Emory University in 1928. He practiced medicine in both Raleigh and Summers counties.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Jennie Lee Moomau, Rockville, Md.; three sons, J. T. Jr., Hinton, Jimmy, stationed with the armed forces at Ft. Myers, Wash. D.C. and William, Germantown, Md.; three brothers, J. D., Atlanta, Ga., A. E., Jacksonville, Fla. and Virgil, Meadow Bridge; two sisters, Mrs. Bernice Thomas, Atlanta, Ga. and Mrs. Myrtle Hall, Meadow Bridge and six grandchildren.
The body is at the E. M. Meadows Funeral Home in Hinton.
