  The Post-Herald, Beckley, WV, 5 February 1959 William Osborne Dies In Hospital LAYLAND, Feb. 4 (RNS) - William Newton Osborne, 74, of Layland died Tuesday in a Beckley hospital after a long illness. Born Sept. 8, 1884, at Craig, he was a retired coal miner. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Mattie McDaniels of Layland and Mrs. Lena Berry of Leavittsburg, Ohio; two sons, Theodore of Quinwood and Jesse of Leavittsburg, Ohio; three brothers McKinley, Andy, and Bun, all of Craig; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home Chapel in East Rainelle with the Rev. Bill Houchins in charge. Burial will be in Greenwood Mountain Cemetery at Greenwood. The body will remain at the funeral home.
