NICHOLAS, J. E. - 70, prominent retired Baptist minister of Lockwood, Nicholas county, died yesterday morning at his home of a short illness. Service will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow in the Fairview Baptist church wil G. C. Music of Gauley Bridge officiating. Burial will be in Summers cemetery in Lockwood. The body will be returned to the residence at 4 p.m. today from the D. R. Simens mortuary in Summersville. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Erna Nichols; five daughter, Mrs. Romis Keenan and Mrs. Pete Morris, both of Swiss; Mrs. Clark Wolfe of Bird City, Kan., Mrs. Otto Gamble of Los Angeles, Cal., and Mrs. Lee Williams of Lockwood; two sons, Robert and Omar Nichols both of Lockwood; a sister, Mrs. Emma Samples of Oak Hill; four brothers, Omar Nichols of Charleston, Frank Nichols of Oak Hill, Guy Nichols of Linn, and Aken Nichols of Ohio.
