Pansy Opal Tocado, 93, of West Virginia Street, Beckley, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2007, at the home of her daughter, following a brief illness.
Born on April 15, 1914, in Maynor, she was the daughter of the late Granville and Martha Ann Daniel Martin.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Progresso Tocado; a son, Douglas; and by brothers, Merritt H. Martin and George Daniel.
Mrs. Tocado was of the Baptist faith and was a homemaker, having kept her own home until becoming ill at the end of November of this year.
Survivors include her daughter, Paula Ann Tocado Smith of South Charleston, WV; son, Richard T. Tocado of VA; grandchildren, Laura Tocado, John Tocado, Richard Tocado, Lewis Smith, and Pilar Howell; and all of her great grandchildren; a brother, Paul Daniel of Sandlick; and a sister, Ruth Harper of Beckley.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008, in the Melton Mortuary Chapel, with Mr. Johnny Daniel officiating.
Burial will follow in the Daniel Family Cemetery, Sandlick.
Friends may call Thursday from 12 noon until the service time.
