MEADOW BRIDGE ? George Lewis Kincaid Jr., 82, passed away Monday, Oct. 24, 2005, at his home following a short battle with cancer.
Born on Aug. 5, 1923, at Meadow Bridge, he was the son of the late George Lewis and Eva May Walkup Kincaid Sr.
Mr. Kincaid was a retired boilermaker, a member of Local No. 374 in East Chicago, Ind., and of the Baptist faith.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Louise Elkins; two brothers, John Andrew Kincaid and James Garfield Kincaid; and a sister, Minnie Pearl Kincaid.
Survivors include two sisters, Madeline K. Bissett of Greensburg, Pa., and Jessie Cales and husband, Owen, of Meadow Bridge; a stepson, D.K. Elkins and wife, Helen, of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; a stepdaughter, Karen Haines and husband, Bill, of New York; four nephews, David L. Williams, Dwayne Cales, Steven Cales and James E. Kincaid; three nieces, Michele Bissett, Medina Baublitz and Brenda Shrout; and several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
Service will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Smathers Funeral Chapel, Rainelle, with Pastor Mike Whisman officiating. Burial will follow in Patton Memorial Cemetery, Meadow Bridge.
Friends may call two hours before service Friday at the funeral home.
