Herbert H. Shawver, 69, of Cabin Creek, formerly of Corliss, Fayette County, died April 19, 2000, in Memorial Division, CAMC, after a long illness. He was an insurance salesman, a carpenter and an Air Force veteran. He was a 26-year resident of Cabin Creek. Surviving: companion, Essie Harlow of Cabin Creek; brothers, Harold and Ray, both of Beckley, Lee of Bradenton, Fla.; three nieces; one nephew. Service will will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home, Rainelle, with the Rev. Herman Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Shawver Cemetery, Corliss. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today.
