MORGANTON, N.C. - HAZEL GRACE RIDER SHAWVER, 85, of Morganton, formerly of Corliss, W.Va., died Feb. 8, 1994, in Valdese General Hospital after a long illness. She was a member of Minnie Belle Baptist Church, Corliss, a member of Longdale Lodge 83 Eastern Star, and was a homemaker. Surviving: daughters, Sammye Lewis of Alderson, W.Va., Nancy Shawver of Morganton; sons, Bill of Verona, Va., Richard of Las Cruces, N.M., Keith of Morganton; sisters, Ida Sue Shertzer of Corliss, Lucye Snyder of Charleston, W.Va.; brother, Paul Rider of Corliss; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Wallace-Wallace Funeral Home, Rainelle, W.Va., with the Rev. Rick Curtis officiating. Burial will be in Shawver Cemetery, Corliss. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p .m. today at the funeral home, where an Eastern Star service will be held at 7 p.m.
