Patricia Burr Rogers, 80, of Corliss, died Monday, Nov. 20, 2006, in Charleston, after a long illness.
Patricia was born May 30, 1926, in Russellville. She was the last of ten children born to Ryland Dixon Burr and Myrtle Virginia Callison.
Patricia graduated from Nuttall High School and was retired from FMC Corporation, in Charleston. Patricia loved the outdoors, traveling, and taking care of the family homestead, called Burhil in Corliss.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Rogers. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Phyllis Gunnoe and Zela Marks and her brothers, Cecil, Elson, Eugene, Allen and Weston Burr.
Surviving are two sisters, Geraldine Wood of St. Albans, and Louise Holliday of Red Lion, Pa. Like a sister, Elizabeth Ramsey, a lifelong friend also survives Patricia. Also surviving are 14 nieces and 11 nephews.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home, Rainelle, with the Rev. Houston Boothe officiating. Burial will follow at the Shawver Cemetery, Corliss.
Friends may gather with the family on Friday, Nov. 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
