WINTON ELSON "BUB" BURR, 71, OF Big Bend, Calhoun County, died Wednesday at home after a long illness He was a former well driller and a retired employee of Fayette County Board of Education. He was a member of Minnie Belle Baptist Church, Corliss. Surviving: wife, Ida Armstrong Burr; daughter, Linda Burr at home; son, Howard Elson at home; sisters, Louise Holliday of Colora, Md., Patricia Rogers and Geraldine Wood, both of Charleston. Service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Wallace-Wallace Funeral Home, Rainelle, with the Rev. Wesley Pennington officiating. Entombment will be in Wallace Memorial Mausoleum, Clintonville. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
