ASHTABULA - Cecil Hinkle, 85, died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2001, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center.
Born Sept. 6, 1915, in Friars Hill, W.Va., he was the son of William and Della Hinkle and had been an area resident most of his life.
Mr. Hinkle worked as a machinist at Reliance Electric. He also worked for a time at the Conneaut Giant Eagle. He also enjoyed farming, owning and operating Hinkle Farms in Kingsville for many years. He was a member of Kingsville First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Jean, whom he married Jan. 9, 1982; a daughter, Betty Cox of Ashtabula; stepchildren Barbara Risner of Springfield, Mo., Jeanine Burr of Kingsville Township, Doug Hill of
Ashtabula; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Ressa Olin of Kingsville and Glenna Swanson of Ashtabula.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Anne; and a son, Ronald.
Service is 1 p.m. Friday at Potti Lakeside Funeral Home, 1329 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, with the Rev. David Hines of Kingsville First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North
Kingsville.
Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
