BECKLEY - Steve Suptic, 86, of Beckley died Dec. 26, 1998, at home after a long illness.
He was a retired miner from New River Coal Co. with 50 years' service. He was a Christian and attended Prosperity Baptist Church and Faith Baptist Church. He was a member of UMW and Bradley Lions Club.
Surviving: wife, Margaret Morris Suptic; son, George Suptic of Ohio; stepsons, James Morris of Goldsboro, N.C., Steve Morris of Beckley; stepdaughter, Helen Greene of Beckley; sister, Stella Korff of Beckley; seven grandchildren.
Service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Melton Mortuary, Beckley, with the Rev. Donald Sparks officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the mortuary.
