FAYETTEVILLE ? Gladys Marie Saul King, 96, of 106 Park Drive, Fayetteville, passed away Friday, March 24, 2006.
She was born March 3, 1910, at Layland. She was the daughter of the late John Saul and Mittie McClung Saul Walden.
Mrs. King attended Fayette-ville United Method-ist Church. She was a homemaker, a member of the Fayetteville Women?s Club and the Garden Study Club. She had been a resident of Fayetteville for 74 years.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur James King, in 1996; stepfather, Joseph Walden; a sister, Helen Tate; and a niece, Betty Lou Walden Campbell.
Survivors include her three sons, James Michael King of Charlotte, N.C., Robert Ste-phen King and his wife, Karen, of Charlottesville, Va., and Jon Gregory King and his wife, Carolyn Jane, of Lakewood, Ohio; daughter, Carolyn Ann King Sirk and her husband, Kennie, of Daytona Beach, Fla.; a sister, Pauline Taylor of Phoenix, Ariz.; four granddaughters, Krista King Stutts, Kelly Dawn King, Amber Nicole King and Michelle Lee Sirk; three grandsons, Michael Brian King, Ransom Scott King and Brian Gregory King; a great-granddaughter, Sophie Carmen; and a great-grandson, Sean Stutts.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville, with the Rev. David Stackpole officiating. Burial will follow.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. Monday at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home Chapel, Fayetteville.
In lieu of flowers, Mrs. King requested that you make donations in her memory to your choice of church of charity.
