Platt Phipps, 55, Of Beckley, Dies
Platt H. Phipps, 55, of Beckley, Raleigh County, and secretary of Home Insurance Agency there, died yesterday in Beckley Hospital after suffering a heart attack Thursday.
Phipps, a native of Fayetteville, came to Beckley in 1929 and has been engaged in the insurance business since that time. He was a member of the Beckley
Methodist Temple, Elks Lodge No. 1452 at Beckley, and the Beckley Kiwanis Club.

SURVIVING are his wife, Helen; one sister, Mrs. J. W. Massing of Mt. Hope; one brother, Charles L. of Beckley.
Service will be conducted at 2 p. m. tomorrow at the Beckley Methodist Temple by Dr. J. B. F. Yoke Jr. Burial will be in Huse Cemetery at Fayetteville.
The body is at Keyser mortuary at Beckley.
