William F. "Bill' McClung, 75, of Oak Hill, died May 8, 1987, in Beckley VA Hospital after a long illness. He was a retired carpenter and maintenance person for WOAY, Oak Hill. He was a veteran of World War II, a VFW member and a member of First Brethren Church, Oak Hill. Surviving: wife, Dora Haire McClung; sons, Keith of Raleigh, N. C., Richard D. of Charleston and Mark W. of Oak Hill; daughter, Mrs. Frances Surbaugh of Oak Hill; brothers, Richard of Oakwood, Ga. and Mark of Fort Myers, Fla.; sisters, Nancy McClung and Peggy Weeks, both of Washington, D.C.; five grandchildren. Service will be 1 p.m. Monday at First Brethren Church, Oak Hill, with the Rev. William Skeldon officiating. Burial will be in High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Friends may call from 6:30 to 9 p. m. today at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill.
