RUPERT — James Garlon McClung, 72, of Rupert, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010, at his home on Apple Street, following a long illness.
Born March 5, 1938, in Greenbrier County, he was the son of the late Lawrence Lue and Mary Ann Lukas McClung.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara F. Lowe McClung.
James was a retired electrician from the West Virginia coal mines, and a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include a daughter, Shari Sias and husband, Anthony Noel of Greenville, N.C.; a son, Steven McClung of Warner Robins, Ga.; a sister, Judy Gail McClung of Summersville; and a brother, Ray McClung of Proctorville, Ohio.
Services will be 2 p.m. today, Friday, Aug. 20, 2010, at Wallace & Wallace Chapel in Rainelle, with the Rev. Stanley Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville.
Friends may call one hour (1 to 2 p.m.) prior to the service today at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting a memorial donation to the American Lung Association.
