  The Beckley Register-Herald, Online Edition, Saturday, 11 June 2005 RAINELLE - Elizabeth F. Sparks, 81, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2005, in Greenbrier Valley Medical Center at Fairlea following a long illness. Born Aug. 6, 1923, in Greenbrier County, she was the daughter of the late Wilford and Hettie Kincaid Fleshman. Mrs. Sparks was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Norman M. Sparks Sr., and a son, Maynard Sparks. Survivors include four sons, "Marlie" Sparks Jr. of Orange Park, Fla., "Jerry" Sparks of Rainelle, Gary Sparks of LaVale, Md., and Thomas Sparks of Richmond, Va.; two daughters, Jeanie Crookshanks of Rainelle and Libby Ann Childers of Green Bank; a sister, Dessie Healey of Lambsburg, Va.; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren on the way. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. today at Smathers Funeral Chapel, Rainelle. Private graveside rites and burial will be held Sunday with the Rev. Richard Brown officiating.
