ELKINS - Samuel P. McClung, 64, of Elkins died Sept. 22, 1999, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, of injuries received in an automobile accident on Sept. 13.
He was a building construction supervisor for the Abandoned Mine Lands Division of the Department of Environmental Protection. He was a Baptist and a member of Elks Lodge 1135, the Izaak Walton League and the West Virginia Surveyors Association.
Surviving: wife, Barbara Shobe McClung; daughters, Terrie McClung of Hurricane, Tammy Corcoran and Kay McClung, both of Elkins; stepdaughter, Marie Hertig of Forest, Va.; stepsons, Harold Likens of Montrose, Paul Likens of Elkins; brothers, Walley of Glade Valley, N.C., Lee of Rupert; sisters, Eunice Teter of Elkins, Leda O'Dell of Quinwood, Florence Franzello of Fredricksburg, Va., Mary Buster of South Charleston, Anne Wright of Blufton, S.C.; four grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren.
Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Tomblyn Funeral Home, Elkins, with the Rev. Marvin L. Parli officiating. Burial will be in Mountain State Memorial Gardens, near Elkins. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family suggests donations to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 11062, Charleston, WV 25339.
