CHARMCO - Franklin Delano Roosevelt Herndon, 63, of Charmco died June 9, 1997, in Columbia Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, Fairlea, after a long illness.
He was a member of Highland First Church of God, Rainelle, a retired miner and a farmer.
Surviving: daughters, Rita Drennen of Sam Black Church, Janey Bowling and Melinda Parker, both of Charmco, Rebecca Wehling of Zephyrhills, Fla., Lisa Holstein of Beckley; sons, John of Doraville, Ga., Steve of Summersville, William of Charmco, Joseph of Rupert; brother, Glen of Daybrook; half brother, Archie Godfrey of Clarksburg; 24 grandchildren.
Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Highland First Church of God with the Rev. Vondie Cook officiating. Burial will be in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home, Rainelle, and one hour prior to service at the church.
