  The Beckley Register-Herald, Online Edition, Tuesday, 12 April 2005 LEWISBURG -- Charles "Curtis" Hanson, 69, died Saturday, April 9, 2005, in Charleston, after a brief illness. Born April 28, 1935, at Clintonville, he was the son of the late Perry and Lora Hayslette Hanson. Mr. Hanson was retired from District 9 Department of Highways office, a member of the Clintonville Ruritan Club and a member of James Chapel United Methodist Church in Clintonville. Survivors include his wife, Helen Ripley Hanson; brother, Robert Hanson and wife, Nora, of Charleston; nephew, Rob Hanson and wife, Jennifer, of Portland, Tenn.; and niece Patty Walker and husband, Denzil, of Sissonville. Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at James Chapel, Clintonville, with the Revs. Von Sadler, Allen Johnson and Verlin Butcher officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the chapel.
