MOUNT NEBO ? Emert Charlton McClung, 79, formerly of Harrisonville, Mo., went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2006.
Born March 23, 1927, at Quinwood, he was a son of the late Cecil and Anna Orndorff McClung.
?Brud? was a toolmaker by trade, but his love was farming. He also loved teaching Sunday school. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and attended Buckhorn United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Shirley McClung, and a sister, Wilma Fleener.
Survivors include his wife, Janie McClung; three daughters, Jan McClung of Garden City, Mo., Carmel Tabaretti of St. Albans and Debra Storz of Adams, Neb.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Leora McClung of Elkview and Celesta Swartz of Leivasy; and three brothers, Montgomery McClung of Levisay, Rannie McClung of Mount Nebo and the Rev. Tim McClung of Mount Nebo.
Service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Buckhorn United Methodist Church with Pastor Garlin Groves and Pastor Ron Crum officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery, Carl.
Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. today at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home, Rainelle.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial donations be made to Vibe Youth, c/o Kings River Worship Center, 777 Mallory Lane, St. Albans, WV 25701.
