SCUDDER, William Robert - 79, of East Rainelle, Greenbrier County, died yesterday in Greenbrier Valley Hospital at Ronceverte after a 12-day illness. He was a retired farmer and was a member of the Sewell Valley Baptist Church of East Rainelle. A native of Greenbrier County, he was a son of the late Fulton and Frances Johnson Scudder. Surviving are his wife, Mary; two sons, Ira and Roy, both of East Rainelle; four daughters, Mrs. Mae Cooper of Alderson, Mrs. Oleta Wozniak of Glen Burnie, Md., Mrs. Margie Barrett of North Tazewell, Va., and Mrs. Frances Harmon of Bellburn; two sisters, Mrs. Rosa Price of Santa Rosa, Cal., and Mrs. Anna Thompson of Sweet Springs; 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Sewell Valley Baptist Church by Rev. P. D. Orndoff. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Nickell mortuary of East Rainelle. The body is at the residence.
