  The Charleston Gazette, 15 January 1956 SCUDDER, William Robert - 79, of East Rainelle, Greenbrier County, died yesterday in Greenbrier Valley Hospital at Ronceverte after a 12-day illness. He was a retired farmer and was a member of the Sewell Valley Baptist Church of East Rainelle. A native of Greenbrier County, he was a son of the late Fulton and Frances Johnson Scudder. Surviving are his wife, Mary; two sons, Ira and Roy, both of East Rainelle; four daughters, Mrs. Mae Cooper of Alderson, Mrs. Oleta Wozniak of Glen Burnie, Md., Mrs. Margie Barrett of North Tazewell, Va., and Mrs. Frances Harmon of Bellburn; two sisters, Mrs. Rosa Price of Santa Rosa, Cal., and Mrs. Anna Thompson of Sweet Springs; 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Sewell Valley Baptist Church by Rev. P. D. Orndoff. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Nickell mortuary of East Rainelle.
