Richard was born February 10, 1943 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Basil Ford Thomas and Minnie Lois Potter Thomas. He married Wanema June Zvonaric on October 29, 1974 in Elko, Nevada. He liked to listen to classical music and Willie Nelson. He had a great sense of humor and he loved to tease. He worked for the Newspaper Agency for 30 years. He loved to work in his yard. Richard is survived by his loving wife, Wanema; step-daughters, Crystal (Kevin) Barlow and Millie (Jesse) Ruiz of Beaver Dam, AZ; sons, Richard L. of West Valley and Robert W. of Salt Lake City; step-sons, Justin Zvonaric of NV, Dana M and David L. Zvonaric of Salt Lake City; sister, Barbara Thomas of Clinton, UT; brother, Wayne Thomas of Clinton, UT; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, grandchild, Martin Reynaga and in-laws, Ralph and Willa Cunningham of Elyria, Ohio. Graveside Services will be held Monday, April 12, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South. Funeral Directors: Valley View Funeral Home.
