FOR JESSIE MORRISON
Friends in Braxton, W. Va., Rejoice Over Her Pardon
Friends of Miss Jessie Morrison, living in Braxton, W. Va., express the hope that the prisoner recently paroled from the penitentiary by Governor Stubbs, will return to her former home for a visit, according to word received at the governor's office. They always have been loath to attach blame to Miss Morrison for the killing of Mrs. Olin Castle, and have expressed congratulations over the action of the Kansas executive in setting her free.
Morgan H. Morrison, the father of Miss Morrison, now lives in El Reno, Okla., where his daughter will go to visit him after departing Excelsior Springs, Mo., where she is staying with a sister, Mrs. Hawley. Morrison formerly was sheriff of Braxton county, W. Va. The friends of Miss Morrison in Braxton feel that the appeal of their townsman, A. W. Corley, who last winter visited Governor Stubbs in the behalf of Miss Morrison, had something to do in obtaining her release.
