CORLISS ? Virginia Maxine Burr Neff, 76, died Sunday, April 1, 2007, at plateau Medical Center, in Oak Hill, following a sudden illness.
Born May 14, 1930, at Corliss, she was a daughter of the late Cecil A. and Maude Walkup Burr.
Maxine was a retired elementary school teacher, having taught in Fayette County for over 30 years. She graduated from Berea College in Kentucky with her B.A. in education, and earned her MED from Western Reserve University of Cleveland, Ohio.
Survivors include her loving husband, David Neff of Corliss; a brother, Cecil A. Burr Jr. and wife, Irma Digman Burr of Columbia Station, Ohio; a sister, Nancy Joan Perry and husband, Michael W. Perry of Corliss; a niece, Nita Richings; and a nephew, Randall Wayne Burr, both of Columbia Station, Ohio.
There will be a memorial service on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Lewis Community Foundation Christian Community Center at 469 Central Avenue in Oak Hill, formerly the National Guard Armory.

Maxine?s remains were donated to West Virginia University Human Gift Registry.
