SMOOT - Thelma Louise Spencer, 79, of Smoot died Dec. 21, 2000, in Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, Fairlea, after a short illness. She was a member of Sam Black United Methodist Church and the Greenbrier Valley Medical Center Auxiliary and a homemaker. Surviving: daughters, Palma Lee Cook of Rupert, Pamela Witt of Smoot, Peggy Williams of Trout; sisters, Garnet Hacker of Cooks Town, N.J., Virginia Black of Elkhorn; brother, Bernard C. Moore of Abilene, Texas; one grandchild. Service and entombment will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Wallace Memorial Mausoleum, Clintonville, with the Rev. James K. Yearego and the Rev. Roger Williams officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to service at the mausoleum. Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home, Rainelle, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Sam Black United Methodist Church, c/o Dorothy Barnett, 129 Gray Gables Road, Clintonville, WV 24931.
