Maxine Blagg, 81, of Russellville, passed away Aug. 7, 2007, at her residence following a long illness.
She was born April 6, 1926, in Russellville and was a daughter of the late Michael and Lydia Cobb Baker. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Glenn Blagg on Dec. 2, 2000; a daughter, Linda Forrest; ten sisters, Lorah Lesher, Bertha McClung, Rachel McClung, Ruth Moore, Martha Brothers, Rhoda Craze, Elizabeth Lesher, Miriam Baker, Mary Baker and Esther Baker; six brothers, Raywood Baker, Michael Baker Jr., James Baker, John Baker, Mark Baker and Franklin Baker.
She was a member of Brackens Creek United Methodist Church of Russellville, a member of Ansted Chapter OES #134, formerly employed by Fayette County Clerk's office and a homemaker.
Maxine is survived by a daughter, Mary Gresham of Russellville; five grandchildren, Robert Forest of Nitro, Paula Crickenberger of Russellville, W. Franklin Crickenberger of Russellville, Pamela and Thomas Maynor of Russellville, Kevin Forest of Albuquerque, N.M.; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Thomas Maynor and Jackson Forest; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home, Ansted, with Pastor Mike Loudermilk officiating. Burial will follow in Baker Cemetery, Russellville.
Friends may call from noon until the service time.
There will be no nighttime visitation.
Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
