CRAWLEY - "Peggy" Velma Mabel Heaster, 87, of Keiffer Road, died Sunday, Jan. 12, 2003, at her home following a short illness.
Born May 5, 1915, at Trout, she was the daughter of the late Judson and Mabel Johnson Williams.
Peggy was a member of the Beaver Creek Baptist Church at Keiffer and was a homemaker.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Franklin Heaster, in 1951; a son, Roy Dwight Heaster and a stepsister, Alice Bryant.
Survivors include four sons, Bill Heaster and wife, Opal, of Weston, John Heaster and wife, Jean, of Crawley, Ralph Heaster and wife, Geneva, of Smoot and Frank Heaster and wife, Nancy, of Meadow Bluff; a halfsister, Stella Owens of Trout; 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wallace and Wallace Chapel in Rainelle with the Rev. Gary Eisenman officiating. Burial will follow in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville.
Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations of sympathy be made to Greenbrier Valley Hospice, 203 South Jefferson St., Suite A, Lewisburg, WV 24901.
