Rites Set Today For Mrs. Bishop
SCARBRO (RNS) - Mrs. Eleanor Hepler Bishop of Scarbro died in an Oak Hill hospital Wednesday. Death was attributed to a heart attack.
Born at Meadow Bluff, she was a daughter of the late John Moore and Olive McClung Hepler.
She was charter member of the White Oak Presbyterian Church at Scarbro, member of the Borderland Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, past regent board chapter N. S. DAR, member of the Fayette Study Club, Scarbro Garden Club, West Virginia Historical Society and was state chairman of the Good Citizen Committee.
Survivors include her husband, W. C. Bishop; two sons, Maj. W. C. Jr. of West Point, N. Y., and Paul Bishop of Birmingham, Ala.; two daughters. Mrs. W. A. Thornhill III of Beckley and Mrs. R. D. Griffith of Charleston; a brother, Paul Helper of Eau Gallie, Fla.; and six granddaughters.
The funeral will be conducted the Tyree Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Hill at 3 p.m. today with the Rev. Otis McNeill in charge. Burial will be in High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill. The body will remain at the funeral home.
