Thelma Margaret Crookshanks

Thelma Margaret Crookshanks, 91, of Rupert, received her angel wings and flew to heaven to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 9, 2014, at Peyton Hospice House in Lewisburg, WV. Born June 25, 1923, at Keiffer, she was the daughter of the late Clark Remley and the late Peachie Kelley Remley. She is preceded in death by her husband R. B. Crookshanks, one son Gene Crookshanks, one daughter Nelda McClaskie and a special friend Albert Adkins.
Thelma was a homemaker and a member of the Rupert Missionary Baptist Church of Rupert.
Those left to cherish her memory are two sons: Dale Crookshanks and wife Shirley of Rupert and Delbert Crookshanks and wife Lucy of Disputanta, VA and a son in law Bill McClaskie of Hopewell, VA. She was a loving grandmother to eight grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. She is also survived by a special cousin Ruby Morrello.
Services will be held at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Chapel at Rainelle on Sunday, October 12, 2014 2:00 PM with Rev. Gary Eisenman officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 6-8 PM. Burial will follow at Wallace Memorial Cemetery at Clintonville. The family wishes to thank the staff at Peyton Hospice House and Greenbrier Manor for their care.
