  Beckley Post-Herald, 18 September 1957 Skaggs Rites Slated Thursday HUGHART, Sept. 17 (RNS) - Alexander Sanford "Sandy" Skaggs, 74, died early this morning at his home. He was the last surviving member of his family. His wife, Sarah Flossie Kelly Skaggs, preceded him in death. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Sinking Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Hobert Quesenberry in charge. Burial will be in the family cemetery. The body will be removed from Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg to the residence at 4 p.m. Wednesday, and will be taken to the church one hour prior to the funeral.
