  Beckley Post-Herald, 26 October 1972 Greenbrier Man Has Fatal Attack WHITE SULPHUR (RNS) - Robert Clarence Burgess, 54, of White Sulphur Springs died at The Greenbrier Wednesday. Death was attributed to an apparent heart attack. Born at Frankford, Sept. 11, 1918, he was a son of Mrs. Rhoda Morris Burgess of Lewisburg and the late John E. Burgess. He was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, veteran of World War II and was employed by the security department at The Greenbrier. Survivors include Ms wife, Mrs. Edith V. Burgess; one son, Stephen Robert at home; two daughters, Mrs. Norma B. Harrah of White Sulphur Springs and Mrs. Nancy Burgess Wiseman of Lewisburg; one brother, James E. of Lewisburg; two sisters, Mrs. Hilda B. Beall and Mrs. Louise B. Zikafoose, both of Lewisburg, and three grandchildren. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Emmanuel United Methodist Church at White Sulphur Springs with Rev. Richard L. Crickard in charge. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at Richlands near Lewisburg. Friends may call at Shanklin Funeral Home in White Sulphur Springs from 7-9 p.m. today. Security department workers at The Greenbrier will serve as pallbearers.
