ILLNESS FATAL TO DR. WALKUP
Mt. Hope Physician Dies at Montgomery
MT. HOPE. Aug. 20 (Special. - Dr. H. A. Walkup, 50, widely known physician, died at a Montgomery hospital today, following a long illness.
Dr. Walkup was admitted to the hospital several years ago. Active in civil affairs prior to his illness, he was at one time a member of the Fayette County Democratic Executive committee, and the city council of Mt. Hope. He was a member of the Moose lodge.
Surviving are the widow and two sons, Homer A. Walkup, Jr., who graduated in law at West Virginia university this spring, and Harry Walkup, who is now a student at that institution.
Funeral arrangements are not completed but probably will be held Sunday here.
